Taj Mahotsav in Holiday Inn Delhi

I have spent over 7 years in Agra and the very name “Taj Mahotsav” has it’s own kind of nostalgia for me.

The City of love not only houses the world famous “Taj Mahal” but also have some amazing food in it’s street that you can’t miss. Taj Mahotsav celebrates everything about this city and food + shopping takes the central stage. Cafe on 3 in Holiday Inn does exactly the same thing with this food menu from Agra.

Revisiting the memories of old Mughal era and Nawabi style. The list of delicacies available in and around Agra is endless. The Executive Chef Siddhartha Sankar Sarmah bought an authentic culinary experience from the city of Taj Mahal, which is Agra and some more regions of Uttar Pradesh.

There are a few food that may sound just like the food that are Normally found in the streets of India but the way these are made it’s completely different.

The below picture has 3 food items that are made into chaat – Aaloo Tikki Chaat , Samosa Chaat , and Kachori aaloo Chaat.

Aaloo Tikki : UP has its own Aaloo Tikki Chaat that has white peas in it called as Matraa in Agra and this is the main ingredient apart of the Aaloo Tikki , mixed with sweet and spicy chutneys.

Samosha Matar Chaat : As I said earlier also the Chaat in Agra means this special addition of Matraa chole to the Chaat. And this is truly heavenly for samosha lovers and also loaded with proteins and probiotics.

Bedmi Poori : This is something mostly Agra walas grow up on. The hot Poori’s served with aloo bhaji is truly the best breakfast to have in any weather in Agra. Stuffed with Urad Dal masala this is a crispiest version of a Poori .

Agra is defined by it’s very special sweets dish called as Petha and this Petha is available almost in every lane of Agra and panchi Petha happens to be one of the famous shops from Agra, probably a visit to Agra is incomplete if you don’t buy Petha. And so is Jalebi

Another adorable Dessert from this festival is Pedhaa, though mathura has the most famous pedha and also serves as the Prasad for many temples in Mathura.

Had an amazing experience this time at Taj Mahotsav in Cafe at 3 and the entire month of Feb was super happening at the hotel with every weekend there was some or the other food pop up.

Theme decor and Theme music added to the ambiance of the restaurant to give the festival an authentic experience.

A self proclaimed storyteller who loves food and is a health freak to the core. A person who has got a sense of humor to lighten up the most serious stuff. i love the life as it comes, planning is not my cup of tea since i am coffee lover. I brew my own jokes in all situations and love being my own audience. Happy go lucky is the attitude that i carry around. and i stay away from people who throw attitude(cant understand why they carry the weight of their attitude when all they can do is to throw it on others )
