Café Reviews

Giruz Cakes and Bakes at Baani Square

A bakery should be cute, should have a aroma of cakes and bakes, should always bake fresh breads,  should have some items which are always out of stock and one should struggle to get stuff. That’s what a perfect bakery is all about and that’s what Giruz at ground floor in Baani Square is all about.  With a strong tag line “Come Experience the Difference

A White wooden door opens the gate to the delicious Bakery at Baani Square that not only serves amazing bakery stuff to the customers here but is also a key supplier for most of the bread supply in this Complex to most of the Restaurants around. Yes that’s what they say and none of the breads are on shelf for over a day maximum 20 hrs.

No wonder I could see a lot of empty racks and baskets at 12:30 in the afternoon.

What’s so good about them is the delicious cakes and pastries they serve at a very affordable price, probably because the production is in-house. And the way they keep it also speaks of the hygiene factors  everything is either wrapped in transparent sheet or is packed. Nothing is open or just  kept like That.

So while we were on a quick coffee before going for lunch. We decided to go with some love for sweet tooth and ordered for a Cappuccino and  Cafe Latte with a Red Velvet cake and a Eclairs as that’s their highest selling and fast moving  item on their menu.

so that’s what they served us first too. and while we digged into the Eclairs , a friend accompanying me from Dehradun did find it different but not similar to what he have had at The Famous Elloras Bakery.  But being a resident of Gurgaon he did mentioned of his favorite item from this place being Red Velvet cake and pasteries. Though I was coming to this place for the first time.

They took sometime to get our coffee as we could see they were processing few orders. So I asked does it take you this long to make a coffee, the person serving us cutely responded ,mam I was waiting for you to finish your eclairs. I was impressed with the candid gesture and concern.

The Cappuccino was good and loved the cutlery too. Added my brown sugar to add some sweetness to make it to my perfect cuppa ( half a packet)

And here comes the hero from todays visit at Giruz, yes that’s Red Velvet pasteries.

Red Velvet is undoubtedly one of the fast moving pasteries in most of the bakeries and this is no different in fact their Red Velvet cakes are one of their all time in demand cakes.

Well for few who might keep looking for this place,  this place is getting a new abode soon and is moving to 1st floor and will be double the size,

Why you ask?  , well the reason is they need to pamper more happy faces like us in their dine in for cakes and bakes. As I have not spoken about their sandwiches and other finger food. ( mind it I told you they do best breads in this place and that is used by so many restaurants here ).

And the real reason is they have ovens in the kitchen as its a live kitchen because of which this outlet becomes very hot and that’s not a great experience for their customer, well this is coming from the restaurant people themselves. And while this new place is in making rather in upgrading to level 1, you can enjoy this place in winters after all it’s  Dilli ki Sharddii.

And imagine when a restaurant has such clear customer goals, they definitely serve nothing but the best.
