A Day at The Lalit Ashok Bangalore

Well this was a business stay at The Lalit Ashok Bangalore during my last Bengaluru visit.

Entry of The Lalit Ashok Bangalore
As usual checked in after the day at work at 9, so straight went to my  room after doing the check-in formalities. As I entered the washroom I noticed a board inviting the guest to experience the Spa,  pool and gym area.

Budha

I was having the guests coming over for dinner so I came down after changing to check out the Restaurant we can sit and also checking out the Spa/Pool & Gym.

There are 2 restaurant -24/7 , Baluchi and a night club – Sutra. Since it was a Friday so the club was in its full swing with its music that  could be heard in my room at first floor.

The Pool had a good walking area around it with Spa & Gym adjoining the pool. So you get a pool view while you workout. The Spa , sauna area is beautifully done with a dedicated salon area for men and women seperately with amazing therapy options. And the best part most of it is on till 10pm. Unlike most of the properties. I could not click pictures as it was not allowed.

The hotel also houses a gift gallery alongside the business centre but that closes at 8pm. So could not explore much.

Picking cakes and bakes from The Lalit Boulengerie : This is a very nice bakery with amazing range of cakes and bakes,  all ready for Christmas with Christmas theme chocolates – Christmas Tree, Socks, Santa Claus, snow man etc etc prized at Rs. 500 each. While the tree is for 1k. They were not only educating people but also serving tea and coffee.

Dinner at 24/7 : Checked out the buffet options, but   I was not convinced much with the options on offer therefore settled on Alacarte itself. Ordered for Hariyali chicken Tikka, Tandoori roll, Paneer Kali mirch,  Chicken Briyani and Pulao with mutton roganJosh.  Food was average and service pathetic. They took a lot of time preparing the dishes, and the cutlery served was a complete mismatch. We were given all main course without serving the dinner plates, when asked for plates they gave big plates but without  quater plates. So frankly I wasn’t happy spending that kind of money and getting such bad Service.  But they also did not charge us for the food which we took from the bugget spread asking them to charge us., As the kiddo needed to have food and it was already late.

Morning walk in The Lalit Gardens : I woke up early to go by the pool side for a morning walk as that area looked very nice. But then I saw this garden so thought of exploring. It had great trails for morning walk with lush green area and lots of benches to just sit around and enjoy the property. The Lotus pond in front of this garden added a lot of life to the place. And also it’s right at the entry.

Breakfast at 24/7 Coffee House : After my dinner experience I wasn’t keen to go for breakfast but since it was a part of package so went for it. A good spread was laid out in the restaurant area. I decided to have it at the pool side and requested for whatever I needed right there.  Thankfully got a very good service with quick service delivery right on my table and off course awesome view of the pool and birds chirping around to glory in the morning.

My recommendation : The Lalit Ashok Bangalore is a very good property to stay with family and just be there and do nothing.  enjoy food, swim, pamper yourself and have a good weekend all by yourself.  It’s an excellent property to visit with family especially kids with the kind of open area and green spaces they have. 4ft pool and a dedicated 2ft area in the pool makes the pool kids friendly and your weekend staycation more relaxed and wonderful.

The entire staff is very courteous especially when they joined both hand to wish you Namaste at all hours of the Day. Truly loved the property and will plan a visit soon. Might go out for lunch or dinner but it’s a great stay option.
