5 Easy Oats Recipes for kids ( 1yr – 1.5 yrs )

Oatmeal is one of the healthiest things which you may start with your kid while you get your kid on a solid diet. This not only is good for health but also develops a lasting taste for Oatmeal. While you have just started your kid on solid food, you may add sufficient water while cooking to keep it in a liquid state, gradually you may reduce the liquid state of the dishes so that its easy to feed the kid eat while he is running around.

Recipe 1: This recipe is much suited to be served in winters due to dry fruits being used in the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 spoon oats
  • 3 almonds (soaked overnight in water preferred else take dry in case you want to store the mixture for later use )
  • 2 walnut ( shell removed)
  • ½ spoon Ragi
  • 1 big tomato
  • Salt to taste
  • Hing optional for good digestion

Grind 1 spoon oats, almonds, ragi and walnut in a mixi and make a fine powder ( you can make in large quantity and store  it for future use).  Take 1 tomato cut it into smaller pieces and make puree of this. Now take a Microwave safe bowl / vessel add Tomato puree with a pinch of salt and  100 ml water and microwave it for 3 minutes. Add 1 spoon oats & a pinch of hing to this, mix it well and again microwave for 2 minutes, Now Add the grinded mixture of  oats, ragi, walnut & almonds to this, mix it well and microwave for 3minutes.  The Oatmeal food is ready to be served ,spread this on a plate and get going.

Recipe 2 :

Ingredients:

  • 2 spoon oats
  • 1 large Tomato ( make puree )
  • 1 piece of cottage cheese ( Paneer) – Grated
  • Salt to taste

Take a microwave safe bowl add 100 ml water and tomato puree and let it microwave for 3 minutes. Add oats to this along with grated cottage cheese , microwave for 5 minutes. The dish is ready to be served to your little one.

Recipe 3 :

Ingredients :

  • 2 spoon of Oats
  • 1 large Tomato
  • ½ boiled potato
  • Pinch of salt
  • Hing ( optional )

Take a microwave safe bowl , add 100 ml water and tomato puree and let it microwave for 3 minutes. Add oats to this along with grated boiled potato pinch of salt and hing, microwave for 5 minutes. The dish is ready to be served to your little kid.

Recipe 4

  • 2 spoon of Oats
  • 1 large Tomato
  • ½ Mashed boiled peas
  • Pinch of salt
  • Hing ( optional )

Take a microwave safe bowl , add 100 ml water and tomato puree and let it microwave for 3 minutes. Add oats to this along with Mashed boiled peas,  pinch of salt and hing microwave for 5 minutes. The dish is ready to be served to your little kid.

Recipe 5

  • 2 spoon oats
  • ½ grated carrot
  • 1 piece of cottage cheese ( Paneer) – Grate it
  • Salt to taste

Take a microwave safe bowl add 100 ml water and grated carrot and let it microwave for 3 minutes. Add oats to this along with grated cottage cheese , microwave for 5 minutes.  Serve it with love J.
