And if you choose something you realise what the other table is having looks more tempting and then re do your order based on what others are having…. Well well well Food Pop ups are your thing and this one offers more than you can have.

Indian food is your first choice of cuisine and you are done with pre set preps of restaurants, this week you have a chance to dive into delicacies from all over the country at Sovereign Feast hosted by Hotel Hilton Garden Inn Saket.This 10-day food promotion event showcases some of India’s best cuisines, carefully selected by super talented team of home chefs. The event is orchestrated by Maneesh and Vickrham, the brilliant minds behind Desi Connoisseurs, who are celebrated culinary maestros. They are cooking alongside the culinary titans of HGI Saket to bring you an unforgettable feast.


That’s not all this festival is also showcasing the unique dishes of 2 home chefs – Ruchi Mittal & Pauli Jharia showcasing the essence of patriotism and celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Let’s talk about Ruchi Mittal, an ayurvedic practitioner turned food Entrepreneur and Blogger. When she shifted to Chennai in 2005, she found her new passion for international and regional cuisines. This passion led to the establishment of her food business in 2008 that specialized in North Indian party snacks.
Ruchi, is also the author of the popular blog, “Miles N Meals,” a chronicle of culinary journeys. The blog documents an array of recipes – from travel discoveries to treasured entries from her mother’s cookbook, and more. Check out her Moms Recipes here

While another Home chef Pauli Jharia,who is MBA in HR from Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Indore, naturally developed a fondness for cooking since childhood, while watching and assisting her mum and sis in the kitchen, which turned into  her passion. She loves everything about food, cooking & sharing it.

Now let’s quickly jump to the food here , well why write when I can show you what I Had. Well started with house made Kokum & Plum Sharbat and for the first time I got to know that the Kokum Sharbat needs to have a little bit of burnt tang to it and that’s authentic. you can very well make out of the 2 Drink here ,which one is Kokum and which one is plum.

Few dishes that stood out for me are as under

Pindi Chole – I always look forward to enriching conversations over food and the Chef’s here are a bouquet of information on my favourite topic food. Chef & Food Connoiseiur Vickram literally added magic to this one … This darker shade of Pindi Chole is the most authentic one that I ever had and it felt so light even after having it and that’s the promise of his magic recipe

Everything on my Platter at Sovereign Feast

Everything of my platter was what I truly loved. The dal by Chef Maneesh, Masala Karela by Pauli and The epic Rajasthani Gatta curry by Chef Ruchi.

Further ended the delicious superlative dinner with yet another favourite part of mine , Indian Desserts. I feel Indian Desserts are seriously underrated. These two had my heart and mind
