So let me take you through my gastronomy trip to Asian food at #PaPaYa ,before that let me make your journey here a bit easier. Every page of menu clearly marks dishes that are coded as

  • Low Calorie
  • Gluten free
  • Vegan
  • Chefs recommendation
  • Keto diet

And before you start with your order the person prompts you for any food if you are allergic to so that while making the food the chef is guided about it. And probably I feel this needs to be happening in all restaraunts where people are getting allergic to a lot of food.

We started with Soups

Laksa : This is a gluten free soup and chefs recommendations in soups. This is a soup with Singaporean curry that is flavored with coconut curry , served with mint and lemon. What’s so special about this soup in papaya way is the way it is served , a candle lit under the soup to keep it warm till you finish it. I think this is a very nice thing as most of the time I am not able to finish my soup and it’s already cold. The one in picture is one by two of the same soup so you can imagine the quantity if you go for a full serving. Very delicious because I love coconut flavor , if you are not a coconut person you may not like it. Avoid adding lemon in the beginning , taste the soup if u wish to add lemon try it by adding it in a spoon and taste. As the moment you add lemon the soup will be coagulated and probably you might not like that taste. I enjoyed the soup without lemon and towards the end added lemon but I liked the before lemon taste of this soup.

Dimsums : if I have to pick 3 things you should not miss at Papaya , then one of them will surely be Dimsums and the dimsums here are totally out of the world . They offer offer half a dozen of exotic variety of veg and non Dimsums. We tried two varieties and they were too good on taste and presentation both.

Salad : There 3 options each for veg and non Veg salad. I always go by the chefs recommendation on the menu , even if I am not very convinced with the ingredients and dish. This was one such order from today’s visit. And was good as well. No jazz just grated raw papaya and veggies , a classic salad.

Sushi : Undoubtedly my most favorite pick from the lunch today at Pa PA ya and I can keep coming back to this place for nth times. I asked for an assortment of Sushi and the presentation was a killer. Exotic ingredients served in a delectable way on a sushi boat. And I wish this boat ride never ended.

And by this time I was totally done. But then this particular dish took me by heart.

Sliders : This was picked purely for it’s Ingredients – Lotus flour buns with Edamame & Chickpea patties served with the homemade potato Chips with loads of mayo in the buns. Too filling and very nice too.

Desserts : Assiete of Banana Split 5 ways , normally Assiete refers to a plate of food, but typically a small plate containing the same food item prepared in various different ways and this case on platter was Banana served in various forms – Banana Ice cream, Banana chips, real Banana , Banana cake and caramel sauce. Truly a overload of the sweetness and worth a try.

So wrapping up a delightful luncheon at a beautiful place and amazing menu that’s truly unique with it’s exotic ingredients and presentation.
