I was staying at the Welcome 2 Appartment hotel in Bur Dubai. So every morning when I had my breakfast in their cafeteria , they have this particular counter where they have displayed the Arabic food. So thought of writing about this corner
# Ful Madamous
Ful is a dish of cooked Fava beans served with the vegetable oil , cumin and optionally with chopped parsleys, onion , lemon juice , chilli peppers and other vegetable ,herb and ingredients. This is also a common part of the cuisine of many Arabs , middle east and African culture.
#Kubboos
The Arabic word for bread is Kubbos and therefore the Arabic flat bread is called as Kubbos.This is also know as Pita that forma a staple of local diet from the Arabian peninsula to morroco, easy to eat. This is a fresh preparation and is easy to eat generally combined with Hummus and Mutabal.
Mutabal
Middle eastern cuisine is known for it’s massive selection of appetizers, referred to as Mazze. Mutabal is a traditional eggplant dip. The egg plant are usually grilled on a barbeque which gives them a nice Smoky flavor whipped with yogurt ,tahini and lemon juice. healthy and gluten free Mutabal is traditionally served as an appetizer with Arabic bread. Some countries refer this as baba guanoush.
Hummus
Hummus comes from the Arabic word meaning chickpea and the complete name in Arabic is Hummus bi Tahini which means chickpea with tahini. As an appetizer and dip hummus is eaten with Arabic bread. Garnishing includes tomato , coriander, ginger, garlic, hard boiled eggs. Often served in breakfast, lunch and dinner is usually garnished with olive oil or is served along side.
