Lake Pleasant Cottage at Naukuchiatal

Sometimes a getaway from the routine life is the best gift given. My brothers birtbday was in November and his gift was due ever since. Since he was keeping very busy so I decided to convince him to step out of the city and hit the roads. And when one plans for a getaway to break the monotony of the routine life , hills are the obious destination to hit to.

So I zeroed on Naukuchiatal in Nanital as one of the place to book him for. As the name suggest it’s a hill station with the deepest Lake with nine corners , the depth is 175 and this small place has too much to offer with lake being the major attaraction.

And while I was looking for properties to stay ,Lake pleasant cottage came to the rescue as a good and viable option.

And when he started sharing pictures ,I was pretty relieved of a making a good choice.

The evening post snacks was a cocktail night alongside the Camp fire making the evening a bit more happening and warm in the chills.

The best part of being in the mountains is that you get to see the best sunrise and sunset and off course lot of tracking to be done. The Lake pleasant Cottage team has planned a visit to a near by village and that was icing on the cake. When early morning I started receiving pictures I really could not believe it’s he clicking as they were all so good and the trip looked much more promising then I had imagined.

Yes that’s how the sunrise looked like and the track to village gave some really cute surprises including the bamboo shoots and I was surprised at my brother’s photography.

After coming back from the village he had some of the amazing food and a good sun bath on the terrace and the good food shows off in his smile. ( not to miss the typical hill station background).

The day went by boating and enjoying the lake as that’s what this place is entirely all about

Boating is fun when you have such a beautiful waterline and green around.

Back to the cottage most delicious lunch awaited authentic Indian cuisine just the purest form of food to have.

While he was going Gaga over the quality of food and it’s taste , all I could do was miss being a part of this trip. Of all the pictures which he has send me of the property this qualified to be my favorite spot , as it was a scene straight from my novels as I have always visualized.

Overall experience of this trip that came as a feedback was outstanding and he loved this property, just a perfect weekend to have everything under one roof. That’s the place they were served with the lunch.

And now I am counting on days to visit this property.

A very well maintained property with comfortable yet nicely done rooms, superb spread of lunch and dinner buffet, good service and sight seeing options around. This place is worth every penny spend. Don’t miss to check out the deals in advance on the travel sites to grab a bargain.
