Waffles Thru the Day Chennai

We were just wandering the streets in Adyar Nagar while I saw this board saying Waffles thru the Day, and I felt as if someone has just read my mind. I went down the lane took a left and camouflaged among the residential this board marked the location in the basement. Not easy to locate but still we could make out the basement entry.

As we took the stairs down before our eyes could spot a waffle at waffles thru the Day, the strong aroma from the kitchen hitting our olfactory declared we have to have it right now right here.

We stepped inside and discovered it’s a cute cafe serving waffles,  crepes,  shakes,  coffee, pancakes,  stuffed potato,  juices etc. There was a family sitting and enjoying their dessert,  in another area, there was a couple sitting in a cozy corner and having coffee. And still, this place has some kind of silence.

We went to the counter and they asked us to have a seat. As we secured a seat a waiter came and handed us a tablet to place our order and left us. We explored through the menu & placed our order and within 10 minutes we were served with our Order exactly as it was given on the menu picture.

Chocolate Buttermilk Waffle with Banana.

This is what I picked and assumed it ‘ll come with a scoop of ice cream but then it did not include a scoop so ordered for a scoop and within a minute we had it.

Cafe Latte

Being a coffee person and after having 2 filter coffee gave a miss to the filter coffee being in Chennai ordered a Cafe latte. And just enjoyed my waffle with a sip of this divine cuppa.

Now once we were done with our food, all we need to do was a press of a button Get my Bill and the waiter was right next to us with a printed copy of Bill.

Completely impresses by the technological advancements in this space making people at Cafe focus more on service than wasting a lot of time doing too and fro taking an order.

There were few more things that drew out attention. As you open the door you have the review us on Google,  another Zomato stickers and few more. And a board that said Sunday Waffle buffet and I so wanted to visit this place on a Sunday to explore what a waffle buffet is like.

As you enter to your right, you get to see a hand sanitizer unit being mounted on the wall. Probably that’s the first time I saw this kind of hygiene. All the tables nicely arranged.  For once I felt I am in a Silent cafe as we have silent Airport,  a place that had more food to groove on with all your senses minus the chaos of a cafe.

Loved the entire ambiance, aura, and positivity of this place. A must visit place.
