What is Ghee Residue ?
If you make Ghee at home by saving up the Malai ( Thick layer formed on Milk while boiling ). And after a considerable quanity you boil the malai to extract Ghee from the Milk solid, in this process while you sieve the Mala there is a residue – Brown substance and this is called as Ghee Residue.

we make ghee every 10 days and the residue is either used as a stuffing in paranthas or for ladoos max. This post gives so many new ideas. waffle too? This is amazing and worth a try.

Wah wah….i never knew we could make so many things with ghee residue. My mom used to make halwa and a my SIL used to eat it with rice and sugar. Now I never have milk to make ghee at home but will surely share your post with friends who do.

I have never tied making ghee at home so have no idea of the residue :-0
I remember that my grandmom & mom used to make it at home when I was a kid. But eventually shifted to store bought stuff.
But all the desserts and sweets look yum. I may try them nevertheless.

I never discard the Ghee residue. I usually mix it with sugar and have it with roti. But I liked your recipes. will try them whenever I make my next batch.

I used to make ghee earlier, but I never knew we could make so many recepies with the same. I would give the same to my kids to eat just raw, they would enjoy the same.

Wow, these are some brilliant ideas to use the ghee residue. Beetroot Barfi sounds delicious. I shall try making them. We usually make daal or sabzi in the ghee pan and incorporate the ghee residue in our food.
